Malek Haj Tahar is an accomplished physicist currently serving as a Staff Accelerator Physicist at TRANSMUTEX, where responsibilities include developing and executing advanced particle accelerator simulations for high intensity and power machines. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Research Fellow at the Paul Scherrer Institut, leading the design and optimization of the SINQ beamline optics for the High Intensity Muon Beamline project, and another Senior Research Fellow position at CERN, focusing on systematic errors in proton Electric Dipole Moment measurements. Malek's earlier work includes a postdoctoral role at Columbia University, where a novel particle accelerator design for medical applications was developed, and research at Brookhaven National Laboratory as a PhD Graduate Student, studying high power ring methods and conducting Monte Carlo simulations. Malek holds a PhD in Particle Accelerator Physics from Université Grenoble Alpes and a Master's in Nuclear Engineering from Grenoble Institute of Technology-Phelma.
