Kim Geer

Kim Geer has extensive experience in the educational field, currently serving as a Teacher at Transylvania County Schools since August 2018. Previously, Kim Geer worked as a First Grade/Kindergarten Teacher and a Reading Tutor at New Hanover County Schools from October 2011 to June 2018. Prior to that, Kim Geer held the position of Assistant Principal at Alamance Burlington School System, with responsibilities including discipline, budgeting, and teacher evaluations. Additionally, Kim Geer served as an Adjunct Professor at East Carolina University, developing online courses in Reading, and worked as an Assistant Principal Intern at Vick Elementary School. Early career roles included serving as a Reading Recovery Teacher at Wilson County Schools. Kim Geer holds a Master's degree in Educational Administration from East Carolina University, a Master's in Reading, Language & Literacy from William & Mary, and a Bachelor's in Music Education from Meredith College.
