Structural Engineer at TranSystems

Tai Tran has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. In 2008, they started as a Customer Service Assistant at HEB, where they provided exceptional customer service and assisted with inventory control. From 2010 to 2013, they worked as an Inventory Clerk at PDS Corporate Sales, where they managed inventory and shipped orders to customers. In 2013, they briefly worked as an Engineering Technician Intern at the Texas Department of Transportation, where they were responsible for construction project documentation and scheduling analysis. From 2015 to 2021, they worked as a Highway Engineer Trainee at the West Virginia DOT, where they evaluated and inspected infrastructure, focused on bridges and other structures. Finally, in 2018, they joined TranSystems as a Structural Engineer, where they drew bridge plans, repaired bridges, and performed detailed inspections using MicroStation.

Tai Tran attended the University of Houston from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Civil Engineering. In addition to their degree, Tai Tran obtained the certification of "Engineer in Training" from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers in January 2015. Tai also attained the certification of "Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges" from the FHWA National Highway Institute in August 2018.
