Veneta Sotirova

Veneta Sotirova has a diverse work experience in the fields of business analysis, reporting analysis, and project management.

Veneta started their career in 2014 as a Commercial Product Manager at lowcosttravelgroup, where they supported the company's strategy for hotel product supply and negotiated with suppliers.

In 2016, they joined lastminute.com group as a Hotels Trading Manager, responsible for driving hotel product category sales and achieving sales and revenue targets. Veneta also conducted sales performance monitoring, competitor benchmarking, and worked with digital acquisition teams to drive sales.

In 2018, Veneta worked as a Business Analyst at intuitive, where they analyzed product requirements, delivered functional BDD specifications, and ensured functional compatibility with other products and solutions.

From 2018 to 2019, they served as a Yield Manager at Hotelbeds, defining and implementing strategies for managing a portfolio of London hotels. Veneta also assisted with connectivity issues, payments, and content improvements.

Veneta joined OYO UK in 2019 as a Project Manager/Performance Manager OTA, where they developed and executed strategies for leveraging data, ran projects to improve internal processes, and collaborated with OTAs and bed banks for partnership management.

In 2019, they returned to Hand Picked Hotels as a Business Analytics Manager, and in 2020, they worked as a Commercial Analyst at Secret Escapes, focusing on analyzing commercial data.

In the same year, Veneta joined Hand Picked Hotels and Travel Ledger as a Reporting Analyst and Business Analyst respectively.

Most recently, in 2022, they began working at TUI as a Senior Business Analyst.

Veneta Sotirova has a diverse educational background spanning across multiple institutions and fields of study. Veneta obtained a Bachelor's degree in Travel and Hospitality Management from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in 2005. Prior to this, from 1994 to 1999, they attended the 35th High School for Modern Languages, specializing in modern languages with a focus on French and Russian. Additionally, from 1992 to 1999, Veneta attended Pharos Schools of Languages and Computing, where they studied English Language.

In terms of additional certifications, Veneta obtained a certification in Opera PMS from Hugin Sweda Bulgaria in February 2014.
