Simeon Rowsell

Simeon Rowsell has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Simeon started their career as a Shop Assistant at Martin McColl, where they gained experience in operating the till, assisting customers, and managing stock control. In 2010, they interned at Double Negative as an Animation Intern, focusing on developing realistic creature animation skills. Simeon had the opportunity to work with assets from Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows and gained industry knowledge and communication skills.

From 2011 to 2013, Simeon worked at Double Negative as both a Camera Runner and a Matchmove Artist. As a Camera Runner, they worked on various films, including Skyfall, Les Misérables, and Thor: TDW, where they set up and used camera equipment and collaborated with key crew members. As a Matchmove Artist, they worked to a film standard, ensuring shots were approved by supervisors, maintaining a production schedule, and seeking feedback for continuous improvement.

In 2013, Simeon became self-employed as a Freelance Creative/Technical Artist. Simeon successfully completed projects such as logo design, web development, and animation concepts for clients. Simeon designed and built the 'Workflo' logo, which received positive feedback from clients.

In 2014, Simeon joined Bath College as a Web Development Officer, where they served until 2016. During their tenure, they contributed to web development projects and fulfilled the responsibilities of their role.

In 2014, Simeon also started working as a Freelance Web Designer and Developer under their own name. Simeon continued their freelance work while simultaneously working at Bath College.

In 2019, Simeon joined TravelLocal as a UX Designer and later became the UX & Design Lead in March 2022. Simeon remains in their current role, contributing to the user experience and design of the company's products.

Throughout their career, Simeon has showcased their skills in web design, development, animation, and user experience. Their work experience demonstrates their ability to adapt to different roles and industries while continually improving their skills.

Simeon Rowsell has a foundation in arts and general studies from Filton College, Bristol, where they completed a Foundation Diploma from 2007 to 2008. Following this, they pursued higher education at Bournemouth University from 2008 to 2011, obtaining a BA (Hons) degree in Computer Visualisation and Animation.
