Emily Tearle

Emily Tearle has over two decades of experience in legal knowledge management, currently serving as Head of Knowledge Management at Travers Smith since April 2002. In this role, Emily focuses on the internal storage, retrieval, and dissemination of knowledge to enhance efficiency and support knowledge sharing within the firm. Emily has strategic oversight of the firm’s award-winning intranet and plays a key role in information architecture and governance. Previous positions at Travers Smith include Senior Knowledge and Information Manager, Senior Knowledge Manager, and Professional Support Lawyer for the Dispute Resolution department, where responsibilities included content delivery, training initiatives, and lateral hiring coordination. Emily began a legal career as a Solicitor with expertise in commercial litigation and arbitration, following a successful academic background with a Law degree from the University of Cambridge. Prior experience includes working as a Solicitor and Trainee Solicitor at Sinclair Roche & Temperley.
