Adam Norris

Adam Norris serves as the Assistant County Manager for Johnson County, KS Government since January 2024, previously held the role of Deputy City Manager for the City of Independence, Missouri from October 2018 to January 2024. Norris has extensive experience in local government administration, including a tenure as Management Consultant at Shockey Consulting Services, LLC, and Deputy City Administrator of Development for the City of Blue Springs, where responsibilities included leading economic and community development initiatives. Additional experience includes positions as Assistant City Manager for the City of Overland Park and Assistant to the City Manager for the City of Dallas. Adam Norris holds a Master of Public Administration from The University of Kansas and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Anthropology, and English from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
