Thibault Dufourd

Pre-clinical Project Manager at TreeFrog Therapeutics

Thibault Dufourd has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and organizations.

Starting in 2013, Thibault completed an internship at HP2 Laboratoire, where they learned techniques in rat muscle cell culture.

In 2014, they undertook another internship at Institut Albert Bonniot, focusing on the enteric nervous system and phenotypic analysis of LKB1 cKO mice.

From 2014 to 2015, Thibault worked as a tutor in chemistry, both at the Bachelor's degree level and for DAEU B students, at Université Joseph Fourier.

In 2015, they took on an internship at Grenoble Institut Neurosciences, studying the impact of beta amyloid peptide in Alzheimer's disease NMDA-dependant glutamatergic transmission.

Afterwards, Thibault pursued a Master's degree, starting with a 2nd-year internship at Grenoble Institut Neurosciences in 2016, investigating the implication of microRNAs in impulsive disorders associated with Parkinson's disease.

During their Master's degree, Thibault also worked as a teacher in Cellular Biology and Animal Biology tutorial classes for 1st-year Bachelor's degree students at Université Grenoble Alpes from 2016 to 2018.

Between 2018 and 2019, they served as a behavioral instructor for training courses in animal experimentation for biologists and technicians at Université Grenoble Alpes.

Thibault then embarked on a Ph.D. at Grenoble Institut Neurosciences from 2016 to 2021. Their research focused on the role of microRNAs in impulsive behaviors in rats, with implications for treatment-related behavioral addictions. Their work involved mastering various techniques such as rodent behavioral tests, surgery, pharmacotherapy, microRNA extraction, transcriptomic analysis, RT-qPCR, and histology/immunohistochemistry. Thibault published multiple articles during their Ph.D., including one as the first author and corresponding author.

Recently, Thibault joined TreeFrog Therapeutics in 2022 as a Pre-clinical Project Manager.

Thibault Dufourd's education history is as follows:

Thibault Dufourd obtained a high school diploma in the scientific field at Lycée Jean Monnet de Crépy-en-Valois in 2009. Thibault then enrolled in the Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble 1) and completed the first-year common curriculum in health in 2010. In 2011, they pursued a bachelor's degree in Sciences, Technology, and Health at the same university, which they completed in 2014 with a focus on Chemistry and Biology.

Continuing their education, Thibault Dufourd completed a Master's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble 1) from 2014 to 2015. Thibault then moved on to the Université Grenoble Alpes, where they obtained a Master's degree in Neurosciences and Neurobiology (Research) in 2016.

Thibault Dufourd further pursued their studies at the Université Grenoble Alpes and obtained a PhD in Neurosciences and Neurobiology in 2021.

In addition to their academic degrees, Thibault Dufourd also acquired several certifications throughout their education. Thibault obtained the Higher Education Language Proficiency Certificate - English CLES 2 from the Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble 1) in 2014. In 2013, they also obtained the Informatic and Internet certificate (C2i) from the same university.

Thibault Dufourd gained expertise in various subjects, including animal experimentation. Thibault completed the Animal Experimentation for Biologist Executive - Level 1 certification and Animal Experimentation for Technicians - Level 2 certification at the Université Grenoble Alpes in 2017. Furthermore, they obtained the REG - Lyon - Bioinformatic - High-throughput sequencing and data treatment - Level 2 certification from Inserm in 2017.

Thibault Dufourd also holds a Federal Instructor Diploma in Karaté and associated martial arts, which they obtained from the Fédération Française de Karaté et Disciplines Associées - FFK in 2016. Additionally, they completed the Excel and Macro Editing certification from the Université Grenoble Alpes in 2019.
