Shannon Carpenter

Shannon Carpenter has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences and research. They are currently employed as a Scientist at Treeline Biosciences since March 2022. Prior to that, Shannon worked at Kronos Bio, Inc. where they held the positions of Research Scientist from January 2019 to March 2022, and Senior Research Associate from March 2018 to January 2019.

Before joining Kronos Bio, Inc., Shannon worked as a Senior Associate Scientist at C4 Therapeutics, Inc. from February 2016 to March 2018. In this role, they specialized in Chemical Biology and Cell Pharmacology & Chemical Biology. Their responsibilities included developing and implementing high-throughput cell-based assays, building and maintaining genome-edited cell lines, utilizing molecular biology techniques, and conducting biochemical protein assays.

Shannon's earlier experience includes working as a Visiting Scientist at the Broad Institute from September 2014 to January 2016. They also worked at Yale University, where they were a Graduate Student from August 2011 to January 2016. During their time at Yale, Shannon also served as a Teaching Fellow from August 2011 to May 2012.

In addition, Shannon has worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at SUNY-ESF from June 2009 to May 2011. They were also an NSF-REU Fellow at the International Institute for Nanotechnology at Northwestern University from June 2010 to August 2010, where they synthesized and crystallized metal-organic frameworks with potential applications in xenon-krypton separations.

Shannon Carpenter earned a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry from 2007 to 2011. Following this, Shannon pursued a Master's Degree in Chemistry from Yale University, where studying took place from 2011 to 2016.
