Birk Jonker

Birk Jonker has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Most recently, in 2022, they worked at Trek Bicycle as a Sales Lead and prior to that, as a Sales Associate. In 2019, Birk served as a Project Manager in Business Development at Campus SLB Sonnenhof AG. Birk also worked as a Project Leader at Insel Gruppe from 2018 to 2019. In 2016, Birk was the Secretary, a.i. at the Central Works Council at the University of Amsterdam. Before that, they held the position of Board Member at Interstedelijk Studenten Overleg, an organization representing students in the Netherlands. Birk also gained experience in both public relations and operations as a member of Edumundo from 2013 to 2015. In addition, they served as Treasurer & Vice-Chairman at Amsterdamse Kamer van Verenigingen, an umbrella organization for student associations in Amsterdam, and held various roles at Leerwinkel.nl BV, including Director and Manager Providers. Birk also chaired the Faculty Student Council Economics and Business at the University of Amsterdam from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, they worked as a Guest lecturer at Bedrijfssimulaties.nl, where they taught and coached with management games.

Birk Jonker completed their education in a chronological manner, starting with their high school education at Adriaan Roland Holstschool from 2001 to 2008. Birk obtained their VWO degree with a focus on Economics and Society during this time.

After high school, Birk Jonker enrolled at the University of Antwerp in 2008, where they pursued a degree in Business Engineering, completing it in 2009 with a BSc qualification.

Following this, Birk Jonker continued their studies at the University of Amsterdam from 2009 to 2013. Birk earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Economics and Business with a specialization in Economics during this period.

Birk Jonker furthered their academic pursuits at the University of Amsterdam, completing a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Economics with a focus on Behavioral Economics and Game Theory from 2013 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Birk Jonker obtained the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in May 2020, enhancing their expertise in project management and Agile methodologies.
