Lead Product Designer at Trellis Technologies

Matthew Jongbloet has a diverse range of work experience in the field of product design and user experience. Matthew is currently working as a Lead Product Designer at Trellis since February 2023.

Before that, Matthew worked for Homebot as a Senior Product Designer from December 2020 to December 2022. In this role, they executed full design lifecycle on 7 projects, conducted user research with over 500 participants, and acted as User Research Lead, among other responsibilities.

Prior to Homebot, Matthew was the Lead Designer at The Alchemist's Kitchen from December 2018 to November 2020, where they led user research, visual design, digital strategy, E-commerce, marketing campaigns, and branding. Matthew also worked as a UX Designer at the same company from March 2015 to December 2018.

Matthew has freelanced as a UX Designer under their own brand, MJongbloet, from June 2012 to December 2018. Additionally, they have worked as a UX Consultant at VodafoneZiggo and WWF Netherlands (WNF / Wereld Natuur Fonds) during their Masters program, contributing to various projects focused on user experience and digital innovation.

Matthew has also co-founded Humantra and served as a Co-Director at Live Learn Evolve, where they used design to promote conscious and compassionate humanity. Matthew has also worked as a UX Consultant at Archis and as a UX Designer at ITCH Agency. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in product design, user experience, user research, and digital strategy.

Matthew Jongbloet has a diverse education history in the field of design and digital communications. Matthew began their academic journey at Canterbury College, where they pursued a BTEC National diploma in Graphic Design from 2007 to 2009. Subsequently, they enrolled at the University of Greenwich in 2009, initially completing a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Graphic Design and Advertising until 2011. Matthew then continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Design and Visual Communications, General in 2012.

Later, in 2017, Matthew pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Digital Design at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, which they completed in 2018.

Alongside their formal education, Matthew has also obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Notably, in May 2020, they received "The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing" certification from Google Digital Garage. Additionally, in December 2022, they obtained the "Nielsen Norman Group UX Certificate" from the Nielsen Norman Group. Most recently, in March 2023, Matthew acquired two certifications: "Product Analytics Certification" and "Product-led Certification" from Mind the Product.
