Maurice Flurie

Maurice Flurie has a diverse range of work experience. Maurice is currently a Senior Data Scientist at TREND Community, where they started in January 2023. Prior to this role, Maurice was a Data Scientist at the same company from December 2021 until January 2023. Maurice also worked as a Research Consultant at Temple University starting in July 2022. Maurice's previous experience includes being a Graduate Research Assistant at Temple University from August 2018 until May 2022, specializing in the Concepts and Cognition Lab. Maurice has also interned as a Machine Learning Developer at X2Analytics from September 2021 until December 2021, and as a Data Science Intern at Upped Events Inc. from June 2021 until December 2021. Maurice began their career as a Speech Language Pathologist, CCC-SLP at Caring Heart Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, where they worked from July 2018 until February 2021.

Maurice Flurie has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Temple University. Maurice also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

In addition to their formal education, Maurice Flurie has obtained several certifications. Maurice completed the Advanced Python: Working with Databases certification from LinkedIn in September 2021. Maurice also completed the Advanced NLP with Python for Machine Learning and Applied Machine Learning: Algorithms certifications from LinkedIn in July 2021. Furthermore, Maurice Flurie obtained Tableau Fundamentals certification from Tableau Software in May 2020.

In 2018, Maurice Flurie obtained the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA CCCs) from The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Maurice also holds a Speech Language Pathologist License for Pennsylvania, obtained in June 2018. Prior to this, they obtained the HealthEase Cognition Training Certification from HealthEase in September 2016 and the Interprofessional Education Certification from Seton Hall University in April 2016.
