Hannah Yan, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience. Hannah began their career in 2010 as a Research Intern at UCSF, followed by a Summer Research Assistant role in 2011 and 2012. In 2013, they worked as a Howard Hughes Research Intern at Barnard College, where they investigated potential molecular immune pathways that Apis mellifera (Western honey bee) use against invading pathogens. Hannah then returned to UCSF as a Staff Research Associate I in 2014. From 2016 to 2022, they worked as a Graduate Student and Scientist I at Baylor College of Medicine.
Hannah Yan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Immunology from Baylor College of Medicine, which they obtained from 2016 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biological Sciences from Barnard College between 2010 and 2014. In 2013, they also studied Biomedical Sciences, General at King's College London.
