Matt Dangel

Matthew Dangel, P.E. is an experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in reservoir and production engineering. Currently serving as the VP of Reservoir Engineering at Tri-Star Group since July 2023, Matthew is the founding engineer for the US E&P team, focusing on strategic development and capital deployment metrics. Prior to this role, Matthew spent over a decade at Hilcorp in various capacities, including Senior Reservoir Engineer, A&D Manager, and New Ventures Manager, where responsibilities included reservoir characterization, budget management, and the evaluation of acquisition opportunities. Earlier experience includes positions at Chevron and AMD, where Matthew focused on reservoir engineering and process control. Academically, Matthew holds multiple degrees from Texas A&M University, including a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering and bachelor's degrees in Chemical and Electrical Engineering.
