Tia York

Tia York has extensive experience in media relations and news production, currently serving as the Manager of Media Relations at TriMet since June 2017, where prior roles included Interim Manager of Media Relations and Public Information Officer. Before joining TriMet, Tia York worked at KGW, an NBC affiliate in Portland, Oregon, as Executive Producer and Senior News Producer from June 2014 to June 2017. Tia's career also includes significant positions at KOIN-TV, where Tia held multiple titles including Executive Producer and Assistant News Director from June 2004 to February 2014, as well as roles at LIN Media/KRQE-TV Channel 13 and WKRG. Tia York holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies from the University of South Alabama, following education at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School.
