Maarten van der Klaauw

Maarten Van Der Klaauw has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Maarten began their career in 1991 as the Chairman of AVNM. From 1993 to 1996, they worked as a Relationship Manager at Citibank. Maarten then joined MeesPierson in 1996, where they held roles such as Senior Relationship Manager and Euro and Millennium Project Manager. In 1999, they transitioned to Fortis Bank (Belgium) as a Senior Cash Management Officer. At Fortis Bank, they later became a Risk Manager and then the Managing Director of Risk & Portfolio Management. In 2002, they joined Aon Risk Solutions as a Managing Consultant in Credit Risk Consultancy and later worked as a Financial Risk Engineer. In 2013, they joined Triodos Bank and held various roles, including Credit Risk Manager, Head of Central Credit Risk, and Group Director of Credit Risk and Liquidity & Market Risk. Maarten'smost recent position is as a Board Member of Stichting Nelis, starting in 2023.

Maarten Van Der Klaauw obtained an MA degree in Civil and International Law from Leiden University from 1984 to 1990. Prior to that, they completed their Baccalauréat in French, Maths, and Philosophy at Lycée Francais Jean Monnet (Bruxelles) from 1981 to 1984. Maarten also attended Lycée Francais Vincent van Gogh (Den Haag) from 1977 to 1981. In 2022, Maarten Van Der Klaauw pursued an executive education program in Corporate Governance at Erasmus Economics & Business. Additionally, they attended Institut Valcreuse from 1975 to 1977.
