Berend Hut has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. In 1996, they worked as a Production Management Trainee and later became a Production Team Leader at Heineken Netherlands until 1999. From 1999 to 2001, they worked at SP Brewery Ltd as a Training & Development Manager & Group Quality Manager. Hut then joined HEINEKEN Global Supply Chain in 2001, where they held various positions including Brewery Operations Manager and Manager Packaging Solutions & Support Africa/Middle East. Berend also served as a Regional Operational Excellence Manager and Strategic PMO Set-Up Manager. In 2017, Hut joined A.P. Moller - Maersk as the COO for Benelux & Switzerland, and later became the Head of Supply Chain Management & 4PL Customer Service for the Benelux region. Berend'smost recent role is the Supply Chain and Operations Manager (Director) for Benelux, Scandinavia & France at Trouw Nutrition, starting in 2020.

Berend Hut completed a Post Master's degree in Process and Product Design from Eindhoven University of Technology from 1994 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in Food Science and Technology from Wageningen University & Research between 1988 and 1993. In 2007, they attended the Heineken International Management Course at INSEAD.
