Michelle Millhollon

Michelle Millhollon is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as the Director of Communications for the Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana since October 2021, Michelle previously held the position of Communications Director for U.S. Senator John Kennedy from January 2017 to October 2021. Prior to that, Michelle was the Communications Director for the Louisiana State Department of the Treasury from 2014 to January 2017. Michelle also has a solid foundation in journalism, having worked as a reporter for The Advocate from July 1997 to August 2014, where coverage focused on politics, the state budget, crime, and courts. Earlier in Michelle's career, roles at The Shreveport Times included copy editor, page designer, and Teen Times coordinator from 1994 to 1997. Michelle earned a Bachelor's degree in communications from LSU-Shreveport between 1991 and 1995.
