Richard Demers

Richard Demers has a diverse work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Richard most recently worked as a Controller at True Temper Sports, where they managed general and cost accounting, implemented Oracle, and supervised a plant construction project. Prior to that, they served as a Controller at Nova Bus and as a Consultant at their own company, where they acted as a Controller for a retailer under the Companies Creditors' Arrangement Act. Richard also worked as a Sage Practice Manager at ACCEO Solutions and provided financial and operational advisory and audit services as a Consultant at Advisory Services - Self. Other notable positions include Controller at Orbite Technologies Inc., VP Finance/CFO at Dorel Brasil Produtos Infantis, and Director of Internal Audit at Jevco Insurance Company. Richard has also worked as a Consultant at IPEX Inc. and Banque Nationale, where they were responsible for financial and operational audits, SOX/C198 program implementation, and financial governance. Richard has experience in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, retail, insurance, and finance, and is knowledgeable in areas such as IFRS, US GAAP, and SOX environments.

Richard Demers is a graduate of the University of Quebec, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Accounting. In addition to their degree, they hold two certifications: the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc., and the Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA) also from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc.
