Edwin Roman

Edwin Roman has extensive experience in the distribution and logistics industry. Edwin currently works as the Director of Distribution Optimization at True Value Company, where they are responsible for P&L management, staffing, and ensuring the execution of key performance indicators (KPIs) and regulations. Edwin provides strategic leadership and coaching to the regional distribution center (RDC) leadership teams and is involved in continuous improvement initiatives and network process optimization.

Prior to their role at True Value Company, Edwin worked as the General Operations Manager at True Value Company's Texas Regional Distribution Center, where they managed a staff of 190 associates and drove financial metrics in the P&L. Edwin achieved a 100 basis point reduction on labor and maintained the lowest turnover in the network for two consecutive years.

Before joining True Value Company, Edwin held various roles at Save-A-Lot, including Distribution Manager for the Texas and Colorado regions, Assistant Distribution Manager, and Supervisor. In these positions, they were responsible for leading distribution staff and operations, driving financial metrics, and analyzing budgets based on sales forecasts.

Earlier in their career, Edwin worked as a Logistics ETL at Target and as a Shipping Supervisor at Peapod. At Peapod, they were responsible for inventory and receiving functions, including reconciling online sales with inventory, managing item slotting and location setup, and monitoring receiving productivity and fulfillment rates.

Edwin Roman obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Houston-Downtown, graduating in 2022. Prior to that, they attended The University of Texas at Arlington from 2017 to 2019, studying Industrial Engineering. Edwin also holds an Associate of Arts and Sciences degree from Tarrant County College, which they completed from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Edwin has obtained several certifications related to various areas such as AI, systems thinking, change management, process improvement, lean methodologies, and Six Sigma.
