Scott Hassell

Scott Hassell is an experienced professional in environmental sustainability, currently serving as SVP and Senior Director of Environmental Sustainability at Truist since July 2021. Prior roles include contributions to U.S. Bank's environmental strategy and leadership in environmental sustainability at Fifth Third Bank, where significant achievements include pioneering the purchase of 100% solar power and enhancing LEED standards in banking centers. Previous experience includes positions at CB Richard Ellis, RAND Corporation, and the U.S. Department of Energy, focusing on energy, climate issues, and the development of sustainable practices. Scott holds multiple advanced degrees, including an MBA from Yale School of Management and two Master’s degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor of Science from Swarthmore College.
