Derek Rhie began their career in 2005 as a Brand Manager at Walt Disney Internet Group (Disney Mobile). In this role, they developed new marketing strategies and utilized sales and marketing tools to create brand awareness in the market. Derek also prepared work plans, helped to establish product positioning, and supported multi-functional team with new product launch strategies. Additionally, they managed various advertising and PR agencies and worked closely with them to tap into new markets.
In 2007, Rhie joined Trumpia as a Co-Founder, where they helped manage all aspects of Sales, Marketing, and Product Management. Derek also created unique marketing strategies to launch new channels and vertical markets, and managed the product positioning, marketing plan, and established overall strategy and company vision.
Derek Rhie attended the University of California, Los Angeles from 1999 to 2003, where they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Computer Science.
