Luminita Velea

Luminita Velea has extensive experience in scientific consulting, chemistry and testing procedures, molecular science, research and biophysical analysis. From 1995 to 2001, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Mississippi, where they analyzed and characterized biopolymers using optical and calorimetric methods. From 2001 to 2006, they worked as a Molecular Scientist at Eurofins Medinet, Inc. (ex-BioInova), where they provided technical support for in vitro projects and supervised junior staff scientists. From 2006 to 2009, they worked as a Senior Chemist/QA Officer at the USDA, where they planned, developed and implemented operational procedures related to FIFRA and FQPA. Since 2011, they have been working as a Principal Scientific Consultant at TSG Consulting, where they coordinate a broad array of scientific expertise and assists clients with the registration of antimicrobials, biopesticides and conventional chemical pesticides according to FIFRA and FQPA guidelines.

Luminita Velea obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Physics from Liceul Gheorge Murgoci. Luminita then went on to earn a Master of Science (MS) in Chemical Engineering - Polymers from the Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest between 1986 and 1991. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Chemistry (Biochemistry & Biophysics) from the University of Mississippi in 2001.
