Thomas M. Hofstaetter

Thomas M. Hofstaetter is an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, specializing in manufacturing and procurement within CAPEX-heavy industries since June 2019. With a background in operational excellence in heavy industries and experience in digital manufacturing, Thomas has held various roles at McKinsey, including Engagement Manager and Senior Associate. In addition to consulting, Thomas is a Fellow at the TUtheTOP alumni club and has contributed to the development of standards in additive manufacturing through Danish Standard. A founder of multiple consulting ventures, Thomas holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and has been involved in education and research across several institutions, including MIT and the University of Vienna.
