Wendy Seltzer has a diverse and extensive work experience. Wendy served as the Principal Identity Architect at Tucows starting from 2023. Before that, they were the Founder and project lead at Lumen Database (formerly Chilling Effects Clearinghouse) since its inception in 2001. At the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), where they worked from 2012 to 2022, they held the position of Counsel and Strategy Lead, playing a crucial role in strategic planning for web standards development. Wendy was also a Fellow, Advisory Board, and Affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University from 1999 to 2021. Wendy'sother academic roles include being a Senior Google Fellow at Yale Law School, a Fellow at the Princeton Center for Information Technology Policy, a Fellow at the Silicon Flatirons Center for Law, Technology, & Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Law School, a Visiting Prof at American University Washington College of Law, a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Northeastern University School of Law, and a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School.

Wendy Seltzer completed their education at Harvard University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from 1992 to 1996. Wendy then went on to attend Harvard Law School, graduating in 1999 with a Juris Doctor degree. Additionally, they hold certifications from the State Bar of California (California Bar) and the New York State Bar Association (New York Bar), although the dates of obtaining these certifications are unknown.
