Ashwin MacHanavajjhala

Ashwin Machanavajjhala currently serves as Chief Scientist and President at Tumult Labs since July 2019. Additionally, Ashwin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Duke University, a position held since June 2012 and expected to continue until May 2024. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at Yahoo! from October 2008 to May 2012, and as an Assistant Visiting Research Scientist at the University of Maryland during mid-2011 to mid-2012. Ashwin completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Cornell University from 2002 to 2008 and earned a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, from 1998 to 2002.
