Caitlin Maloff has a range of work experience in the legal field. Caitlin began their career as a Research Associate at the UNC Program on Public Life in 2009. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as an Associate Attorney at Robinson Elliott & Smith. Caitlin then moved to McAngus Goudelock & Courie where they served as an Associate Attorney from 2012 to 2015. During this time, they also pursued their J.D. at the UNC School of Law and worked as a Legal Research Assistant. In 2015, Maloff joined McGuireWoods LLP as an Attorney and was seconded to Wells Fargo from August 2015 to December 2016. Caitlin managed high-exposure matters and successfully negotiated settlements for Wells Fargo. In 2016, they transitioned to Wells Fargo as a full-time Counsel, managing mortgage and foreclosure cases. Caitlin saved the company millions of dollars by settling disputes for a fraction of the demand. In 2018, Maloff joined Turning Point Brands, Inc. as an Associate General Counsel, providing advice to senior executives and handling the company's disputes.

Caitlin Maloff completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2003 to 2007. Later, they pursued their Juris Doctor degree in Law at the University of North Carolina School of Law from 2008 to 2010.
