Tim Roy

Tim Roy has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Tim is currently the COO and Co-founder of Turno, formerly TurnoverBnB, a company they started in November 2016. Prior to this, Tim worked at Geolabs, Inc. from August 2013 to June 2019, initially as a Staff Engineer and later as a Senior Staff Engineer. At Geolabs, they were involved in geotechnical engineering projects and created engineered solutions for both private and public sectors. Before joining Geolabs, Tim worked as a Staff Engineer at Pacific Geotechnical Engineers, Inc. from October 2010 to July 2013. Tim'sresponsibilities included overseeing field work, analyzing data, and producing recommendations and reports. Tim also gained experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from August 2008 to October 2010. Tim started their engineering career as a Project Engineering Intern at Layne Christensen from May 2006 to August 2008.

Tim Roy earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Tim then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, which they completed from 2008 to 2010. In 2015, Tim Roy returned to the University of Hawaii at Manoa to earn a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Professional Engineer from the State of Hawaii in December 2013.
