Joel Rivas

Joel Rivas has a diverse background in technology roles. Joel began their career as a Fullstack Web Developer at the Instituto de Energía de la Universidad Simón Bolívar in 2015. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Fullstack Web Developer at Silocom CA, where they contributed to the development of various web applications.

In 2017, Joel joined ClickSolutions - Seguridad y confianza as a Fullstack Developer. In this role, they were responsible for evaluating, designing, and developing technological requirements for a Physical Asset Management System. Joel utilized SailsJS, AngularJS, Ionic 3, and MySQL for this project.

Joel's next role was at Tutenlabs, where they worked as a Technical Leader and Facilitator. Joel designed, evaluated, and managed technological requirements, and formed high-performance self-organizing teams using the SCRUM methodology. Notable projects included developing an omnichannel solution for Engie and AXA to manage the complete cycle of assistance-related business. Joel held this position from 2018 to 2021.

At Tutenlabs, Joel also served as a Product Owner, where they ensured the success of the product and led teams to define the why, when, and what of the product. Joel aligned the product's vision with the organization's guidelines and evangelized the value of the product to the team.

Most recently, Joel held the position of Senior Product Owner at Tutenlabs. In this role, they led multidisciplinary teams using the Nexus framework for scaling. Joel was responsible for ideating, prioritizing, and defining functionalities that would bring the most value to each business line's context. Additionally, they established and maintained the product roadmap.

Joel Rivas completed their education at Universidad Simón Bolívar from 2011 to 2017, where they earned a degree in Computación Ingeniería (Computer Engineering). Joel also obtained additional certifications in the field of Scrum from Scrum.org in January and February 2023.
