Daniela Nachmanson

Daniela Nachmanson has a diverse work experience in the field of bioinformatics and research. Daniela is currently working at TwinStrand Biosciences, where they began as a Bioinformatics Scientist in May 2022 and was later promoted to the role of Bioinformatics Scientist II in November 2022. At TwinStrand Biosciences, Daniela is involved in conducting bioinformatics analysis and contributing to scientific research.

Prior to joining TwinStrand Biosciences, Daniela worked as a Graduate Researcher at the University of California San Diego from September 2017 to April 2022. Daniela'sresearch focused on improving therapeutic options and treatment decision-making for pre-cancerous lesions. Daniela specifically worked on optimizing molecular profiling of clinical samples and genetically characterizing archival pre-cancerous lesions.

In 2018, Daniela also interned at TwinStrand Biosciences as a Bioinformatics Intern, gaining practical experience in the field.

Before moving to TwinStrand Biosciences and the University of California San Diego, Daniela worked as a Lab Manager / Research Technician at the Department of Pathology, University of Washington from November 2015 to August 2017. Daniela was responsible for managing the lab and conducting research experiments.

From May 2013 to September 2015, Daniela worked as a Student Researcher/Helper at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Washington. Daniela'sresearch focused on the role of protein Kinase-A (PKA) anchoring protein, AKAP 7, in the hippocampus of mice. Daniela conducted experiments, analyzed results, performed genotyping, and assisted with general lab maintenance.

Daniela Nachmanson completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry with Departmental Honors at the University of Washington from 2012 to 2015. Daniela later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioinformatics at UC San Diego from 2017 to 2022.
