Robert Francis Schwartz has a strong background in the legal and financial services sectors. Robert Francis started their career at Brigham Young University as a Staff Editor for the BYU Religious Studies Center from 1999 to 2001. Robert Francis then went on to work as an Assistant Editor and Polish Interpreter at BYU Law School from 2000 to 2002. In 2006, they joined Allen & Overy LLP as a Senior Associate, specializing in private equity and hedge fund structuring, fund investment, and U.S. financial services regulation. Robert Francis worked there until 2013 when they moved to Dechert LLP as a Senior Associate, focusing on investment funds, social impact investing, and corporate transactions. In 2013, they also joined Leadenhall Capital Partners LLP as the General Counsel, Compliance Officer, and Head of Transaction Management, overseeing legal, compliance, and deal structuring in insurance linked investments. Since 2016, they have been working as the Managing Director UK at Tyrus Capital Alternatives LLP.
Robert Francis Schwartz obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law and Finance from the University of Virginia School of Law, which they attended from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they received a Fulbright Fellowship in Constitutional Law from the University of Warsaw in 2002 and earned a BA degree from Brigham Young University in 2002, with a major in Philosophy and a minor in English. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as an Attorney from the New York State Bar Association, as a Senior Manager from the Financial Conduct Authority, as a Series 3 professional from the National Futures Association, and as a Solicitor from the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
