Dilip Venkatachari

SEVP & Global Chief Information & Technology Officer at U.S. Bank

Dilip has been an Executive Vice President of U.S. Bancorp since joining the company in 2018, and is currently a member of the Managing Committee, serving in this position since November 2022. Dilip is responsible for global technology infrastructure, capabilities and services, and for ensuring digital and technology transformation. He also serves on the Board of Elavon Financial Services DAC.

Prior to joining U.S. Bancorp, Dilip held senior executive roles at Google and PayPal/eBay, and worked at McKinsey, where he helped large U.S. and international banks accelerate their digital transformations. Dilip also co-founded and led startup companies Compass Labs, CashEdge and CommerceSoft.

Dilip holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering from Rice University and the Indian Institute of Technology, respectively. Dilip also holds more than a dozen U.S. patents in the fields of analytics, financial transactions and risk management, mobile, customer interaction technologies and digital marketing.
