Sudip Bhattacharjee

Senior Research Fellow at U.S. Census Bureau

Sudip Bhattacharjee holds a PhD in Management Science and Systems from the University at Buffalo and a B.Tech (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. As a Professor at the University of Connecticut since August 1998, Sudip's research focuses on the Economics of Information Systems, Digital Goods, and Intellectual Property Rights, among other areas. Sudip currently teaches courses such as Live Data Analytics Projects with Industry Partners and Predictive Analytics and Data Mining. Additionally, Sudip serves as Assistant Department Head and Executive Director of MBA Programs at the university, having implemented its first international course. Experience includes roles as Senior Research Fellow at the U.S. Census Bureau, Chief of the Center for Big Data Research and Applications at the Indian School of Business, and various visiting professor positions, including at EM Lyon Business School and GE Global Research. Sudip's professional engagements extend to judging for the INFORMS Edelman Award and membership on the INFORMS SELECTS Committee, contributing significantly to the field of analytics and operations research.
