Craig Nowakowski

Craig Nowakowski has a diverse work history in compliance and risk management roles. Craig currently holds the position of Program Manager, Global Health Compliance at Google, where they focus on establishing compliance frameworks and promoting integrity in health. Previously, Craig worked as the Lead Global Compliance Program Manager at the U.S. Coast Guard, overseeing investigations, emergency response efforts, and health data monitoring. Craig also served as Chief of Corporate Health Compliance and Privacy at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where they developed and maintained effective compliance and privacy programs. Earlier in their career, Craig worked as the Director of Data Management Systems at the USDA, overseeing regulatory compliance and privacy of animal research facilities, and as a Supervisory Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where they provided oversight for compliance, privacy, and emergency management programs.

Craig Nowakowski is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree specializing in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt University. Craig completed a Data Analytics Bootcamp at the University of California, Berkeley in 2020. Craig holds a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from San Francisco State University and a master's degree in Public Health (MPH) from the American Public University System. Additionally, Craig earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University. Craig also has certifications in Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) from the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) and Facility Security Officer from MARSEC Inc.
