Matthew Barden

Matthew Barden has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Matthew has held various roles in different organizations.

From 2023 to the present, Matthew has served as the Chief of Compliance, Budget, and Emergency Preparedness at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Prior to this, they worked in the US Army where they held several positions. These include Director Of Operations, Plans, and Training, AMC LNO to EUCOM & USAREUR-AF, Deputy DPTMS/Chief of Plans and Operations, Strategic Planner, Chief of Plans and Operations, Lead Management Analyst, Program Manager for Sustainability and Army Stationing and Installation Planning, Security Specialist, and Operations Specialist.

Before their time in the US Army, Matthew served in the US Army Reserves as a Military Police Officer from 2003 to 2006, and in the US Marine Corps from 1996 to 2003 as a Military Secretary to the Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs.

Matthew Barden holds a Bachelor's degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from the American Public University System. Matthew has also completed a certification as a Certified Anti-Terrorism Specialist (CAS) from the Anti Terrorism Accreditation Board in 2007. Additionally, they have attended the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, although specific degree or field of study information is not available.
