Steve Albers has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Steve is currently serving as the Benefits Engineering Lead at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Prior to this, they worked for the United States Digital Service as a Digital Service Expert, where they contributed to the Medicare modernization effort and played roles such as product owner and architect. Steve also worked at Cleverspeck as a Senior Innovator, where they gained experience as a financial systems consultant and in-house product developer. Additionally, they held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Charter Communications (formerly Time Warner Cable), where they designed and developed high volume web applications. Steve has also served as an Instructor at Northern Virginia Community College and held the position of Senior Consultant at Kforce (formerly VistaRMS).
Steve Albers obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management from Virginia Tech in the years 1986 to 1990. Steve later pursued a Master's degree in Information Systems from George Mason University, completing it from 1997 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Steve Albers has also obtained various certifications in different areas, including AWS Certified Developer - Associate, Google IT Automation with Python Specialization, and Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: Web Applications.
