Pamela Hastings

Pamela Hastings is a seasoned design and research professional with extensive experience in creating user-centered digital services across various sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Digital Services Expert at the United States Digital Service, Pamela leads research and design projects focused on enhancing government services at the Veterans Affairs Digital Health Office. Previously, as Principal UX Designer at Code for America, Pamela collaborated with diverse teams to design inclusive solutions for improved government service access. Additional roles include UX/UI Instructor at 2U, Managing Staff Designer & Researcher at Ad Hoc LLC, and Director of User Experience at Edutopia. Pamela's career began as the Founder of Iris Design Studio and has progressed through leadership positions at ORBITZ, Andrew Harper, Texas Monthly, and as an Associate Professor of Design at the Institute of American Indian Arts. Pamela holds a Master of Fine Arts from Bard College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California.
