Ken Piddington

Vice President & Chief Information Officer at U.S. Silica

Ken Piddington has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Ken began their career in 1987 as an Executive Manager at The Homer C. Godfrey Co. From there, they worked as the Director of Product Development at Triple Point Technology starting in 1998. In 2003, they founded Lyland Associates, Inc., a professional services firm where they served as the Managing Partner and led custom development and application implementation projects for Fortune 500 clients.

Piddington then joined Global Partners LP in 2010 as the Chief Information Officer and Director Operational Support. Ken was later promoted to the role of Chief Information Officer and Executive Advisor, where they provided strategic technology planning and served as a domain expert in the C/ETRM space. Ken also led the IT Department turnaround, transforming it into a strategic business partner.

In 2014, Piddington joined MRE Consulting as the Chief Information Officer and Executive Advisor, where they led the Strategic CIO Advisory and IT Transformation practice. Ken advised global clients on strategic business technology adoption and served as a domain expert in the C/ETRM space.

Piddington then held the role of CIO at SGR Energy, Inc. from July 2018 to July 2019. Ken also served as the President, CIO, and Advisor at Compass42, LLC. starting in June 2018.

Ken'smost recent position is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at U.S. Silica Company since August 2019.

Additionally, Piddington has joined IANS in 2022 as a Faculty Member, where they provide experience-based security insights for Chief Information Security Officers.

Ken Piddington's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management & Leadership from Northeastern University. Ken also has a background in Management Information Systems and Services from Graceland University.
