Peter Jung

Undergraduate Research Assistant at UBC ICORD

Peter Jung is a Mechanical Team Lead at UBC Sailbot, responsible for guiding a team in the mechanical design of a rudder project and overseeing manufacturing processes. Previous experience includes roles as a Mechanical Team Member, where research on power generation and hydrodynamics for an autonomous sailboat was conducted. Currently, Peter serves as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UBC ICORD, contributing to spinal cord injury repair projects through SOLIDWORKS design and 3-D printing. Additional work experience includes co-op positions at Kardium Inc. and STEMCELL Technologies, focusing on equipment engineering and quality control, respectively. Earlier experience as a Data Quality Assurance Co-op Student at SFU involved data management for medical imaging, and a role as Head Sail Instructor at Gimli Yacht Club showcased skills in teaching and safety leadership. Peter is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at The University of British Columbia, with an educational foundation in the International Baccalaureate program.
