Myriam Verly

Student Researcher at UBC ICORD

Myriam Verly is a dedicated researcher with extensive experience in immunology, virology, and stem cell research. Currently serving as a Student Researcher at UBC ICORD, Myriam contributes to the clinical pilot of MeshFill in the Dr. Ghahary Lab. Previous roles include student researcher positions at the Centre de recherche du CHUM, focusing on HIV-1 Env glycoprotein, and as a research intern at the Hubrecht Institute, where efforts were directed toward co-culturing stem cells for engineered tissue. Myriam also has experience as a research assistant at Douglas Mental Health Center, analyzing the effects of rehabilitation on schizophrenia patients, and co-authoring a review on maternal immune activation at The Montreal Neurological Institute. In addition to research, a background in coaching rhythmic gymnastics demonstrates strong leadership capabilities. Myriam holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from McGill University.
