Bruce Webster has been working in the software development industry since 1995. Bruce began their career as a shareware game developer, creating educational games for Amiga computers. In 1997, they worked as a Roving Macintosh Software Technician at the University of Canterbury, then moved on to become an I.T. Consultant at the Christchurch College of Education in 1998. In 2004, they were promoted to Web Application and Multimedia Developer, co-developing the open source eLearning/community/content management system, Interact. From 2006 to 2011, they worked as an E-Learning Developer at the University of Canterbury, leading technical responsibility for migrating the University to Moodle. In 2011, they joined Mogeo as Senior Developer, developing the CamperMate App and various other iOS apps. In 2013, they joined TripTech (& the CamperMate App) as Senior Developer, becoming the first developer on the GeoZone project. Bruce has since won a 2015 NZ Hi-Tech award for Innovation and their startup was bought out four times by successively larger company groups. In 2022, Bruce Webster began working as a Senior iOS Developer at UBCO - Electric Adventure Vehicles.
Bruce Webster obtained a Bsc in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury and a Certificate in Adult Teaching from the Christchurch College of Education.
