Michael H. has had a varied and extensive career in engineering, beginning with a role as a Chemistry Laboratory Assistant at RWTH Aachen University in 1991. Michael then worked as an Engineering Support and Skilled Worker, Trainee Programm at Renesas Electronics Corporation from 1996 to 2005. From 2005 to 2008, they were a Senior Manufacturing Technician at AMD. During this same period, they were also a Production Engineer at Philips Lighting. In 2008, they began working at Saint-Gobain as a Process Developer R&D. From 2012 to 2014, they were a Process Engineer at SAGE Electrochromics, Inc. and from 2014 to 2022, they held various roles at SageGlass, including Senior Product Quality Engineer, Project Engineer, Contamination Control Coordinator, and Integration Engineer. Currently, they are a Senior Glass Engineer at Ubiquitous Energy.

Michael H. completed a laboratory assistant journeyman degree in Analytical Chemistry at RWTH Aachen University from 1991 to 1994. Michael then obtained a BA in Computer Science from Berufskolleg Alsdorf des Schulverbandes Aachen from 2001 to 2005. In 2015, they earned a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Finally, in 2018 they completed a Leadership Essentials course from Kent State University.
