Stephanie Schwartz, JD, has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Stephanie started off as a Legislative Assistant in the Minnesota Senate from 1987 to 1990. Stephanie then joined the Minnesota Department of Human Services, where they worked as a Health Care Rulewriter from 1990 to 1993 and later as a Federal Relations specialist from 1993 to 2006. During their time at the department, they were responsible for analyzing legislation, drafting rules, and maintaining compliance with Medicaid requirements. In 2006, Stephanie joined UCare, a non-profit health plan, where they served as the Director of Government Relations until 2015. In this role, they specialized in regulatory compliance and built relationships with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Stephanie then transitioned to the position of Vice President of Government Relations, leading the government programs and commercial regulatory department at UCare.
Stephanie Schwartz, JD, holds a Juris Doctor degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Stephanie also earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota.
