Alkis Papantoniou

Alkis Papantoniou has a diverse work experience in the field of law and sports law. Alkis started their career in 2005 as a Trainee Lawyer at Papantoniou Vasileios Law Office. In 2007, they joined Panathinaikos F.C. where they served as a FIFA TMS Manager and later as a Legal Advisor in the Legal Services department.

In 2012, Papantoniou became a Researcher and Partner at the Hellenic Center of Research on Sports Law. Alkis also worked as a Lecturer in Sports Law at SCG Scientific College of Greece starting from 2019.

Throughout their career, Papantoniou has been actively involved in various organizations related to sports, law, and institutional relations. Alkis was a member of the Legal Advisory Panel and Institutional Relations Working Group at the European Club Association (ECA) from 2017 to 2021. Alkis has also been serving as Alkis Papantoniou in their own law office since 2013.

In 2022, they joined UEFA as a Pro Bono Counsel. Overall, Papantoniou has gained extensive experience and expertise in the field of sports law through their various roles and affiliations.

Alkis Papantoniou obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree in Sport's Law from the Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, starting in 2015 and completing in 2018. Prior to this, they earned a Master's degree in Sport's Law from the same institution, completing it in 2014. Before pursuing higher education, they attended Dimokrition Panepistimion Thrakis from 2000 to 2005, although the field of study and degree obtained during this period are unspecified.
