Jacob Wadland

Jacob Wadland has extensive work experience in the field of communications and media operations. Jacob started their career in 1987 with the Military, working in the Engineers Corps until 1988. In 1997, they joined Dansk Boldspil-Union (DBU) where they served as a Communication professional, handling media affairs for the U/21- and Women's national teams, conducting press conferences, media sessions, and promoting football in Denmark. Jacob worked on writing articles and press releases, as well as managing the organization's website. During their time at DBU, they also took on an administrative role from 2003 to 2009.

In 2009, Wadland joined UEFA as a Media Officer. Jacob then moved on to become the Head of Media Operations, LOC for U21 2011 Denmark from 2010 to 2011. Jacob returned to DBU in 2011 and held various positions, including Head of Press and Media Operations and Acting Head of Communications.

Jacob Wadland has a diverse educational background. In 1985, they attended Gl. Hellerup Gymnasium, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. After completing their studies at the gymnasium, they went on to enroll in Copenhagen Business School from 1990 to 1997. During this time, Wadland focused on development theory and obtained a degree in Cand.Merc.Int. Several years later, in 2008, they attended Danmarks Journalisthøjskole, where they studied strategic communication and earned a diploma.
