Katharina Scheel

Katharina Scheel has extensive work experience in project coordination and management, particularly in the field of event operations and venue management. Katharina started their career with UEFA in 2007, where they held various roles including EURO 2012 Venue Operations Coordinator and Women's Competitions Assistant.

In their most recent role as Senior Planning & Project Coordination Expert at UEFA, they manage and develops large cross-functional digital transformation projects for the Operations Division in collaboration with the ICT unit. Katharina also serves as a business domain leader and global administrator for UEFA's collaborative event management digital tool environment, supporting event management units throughout the event planning and delivery process.

Prior to their current role, Katharina worked as a Planning & Project Coordination Expert, providing project and programme management services to the Chief of the Venue Operations unit at UEFA. Katharina was responsible for establishing operational and reporting structures, defining event planning roadmaps and milestones, and providing project management support to project leaders. Katharina also served as the lead Event Manager for various EURO 2020 related events.

Before joining UEFA, Katharina worked as a Translation Coordinator at Draeger and as a Freelance Interpreter and Translator. Katharina also worked as a Fair Hostess for the German Brain Tumour Association.
