Angela Thompson

Angela (Angie) Thompson, MBA, SPHR, is an accomplished Human Resources Director with extensive experience in healthcare settings. Currently serving at UHS since February 2022, Angela oversees HR operations for over 2,000 employees in a 300-bed hospital system. Previous roles include Director of Human Resources at Merit Health Biloxi and a consulting position at Performance Solutions. Angela has held significant leadership positions at IU Health, particularly as VP of HR & Support Services, where leadership spanned multiple hospitals and included strategic talent management, diversity initiatives, and the establishment of HR functions for new hospital openings. With a solid educational background including an MBA in Healthcare Management, Angela has consistently driven HR initiatives, focusing on employee wellbeing, organizational development, and effective talent strategies throughout a career spanning over three decades.
