Annika Degen

Annika Degen is an experienced professional in the fields of transport, mobility, and EU policy. Currently serving as the Director of the EU Office at Verband Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen (VDV) since September 2013, Annika represents the interests of VDV members in relation to EU institutions, focusing on decarbonisation, digitalisation, and mobility strategies. Additionally, Annika holds the position of Deputy Director of the Europe Department at UITP, where responsibilities include leading the digitization cluster and managing strategic partnerships. Prior roles include International Project Manager at Generation Europe Foundation, trainee positions at the European Commission, Institut für Europäische Politik, and the European Parliament. Annika's academic background includes a Master of Arts in Politics and Administration of the EU from the College of Europe, and a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies from Universität Osnabrück.
