Dewar Finlay

Dewar Finlay is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in engineering and electronic systems. Since June 2000, Dewar has held multiple significant roles at Ulster University, including Head of the School of Engineering and Engineering Research Director. In addition, Dewar serves as a Professor of Electronic Systems and has contributed as an Interim Associate Dean for Research and Impact. Dewar's expertise is recognized beyond Ulster University, with roles including External Examiner for MSc programs at the University of Limerick and City, University of London, as well as temporary external examinations for PhD candidates at multiple institutions. Dewar also held the position of Director at Metal Forming Innovations LTD from December 2020 to September 2023 and has been a Board Member for Computing in Cardiology, Inc. Dewar holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Systems, both from the University of Ulster.
