Yasir Iqbal

Yasir Iqbal is a researcher at Ulster University since February 2024, focusing on Internet of Things (IoT) and digital twin technologies in collaboration with PwC. Prior to this role, Yasir served as a Senior Consultant in IT and Information Security at ECOVIS Saudi Arabia, providing penetration testing, cybersecurity audits, and risk assessments across various industries. Yasir also worked at the National University of Sciences and Technology as a Compliance and Audit Engineer, and as a Research Assistant on projects related to privacy-preserving techniques and lightweight cryptography for IoT. Earlier experience includes embedded system development, technical support for Internet Service Provider networks, and an internship at the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan. Yasir holds a Master of Science in Cyber/Information Security from the National University of Sciences and Technology and degrees in Telecommunications Engineering and Entrepreneurship for Engineers.
